Job Title: Naval Application Engineer
Salary: £63,537 – £80,000 per annum
Location: Wimborne, UK
Benefits: 25 days annual leave
- Up to 18% bonus
 - Contributory pension scheme – Caterpillar will double the employee\’s contribution Up To 10%

Job Summary
Primary responsibility of this role is to work with industry partners and assist them in properly specifying Caterpillar equipment into their vessel designs, ensuring technical feasibility of the power solution. Additionally, you will support the integration of those products into those vessels by providing detailed technical information, consultation, and guidance. This is a critical role in ensuring that our customers are aware of the entire breadth of Caterpillar’s products for marine vessels, not only what we have today but what we are developing for the future.

- Travel – approximately 25%
 - There is a requirement of 5 days in the office per week when not travelling
 
What You Will Do
- You will work proactively with ship designers to positively influence new ship design activity towards Caterpillar solutions to help the vessel meet its specific mission requirements.
 - Ensure a product’s technical specifications and capabilities are accurately communicated to the ship designer
 - Ability to incorporate commercial mindfulness into the technical decision-making process
 - Work with Senior Account Manager to achieve account objectives
 - Collaborate closely with the Caterpillar product development teams on new products and technology needs to better serve our customers in the future
