Responsibilities

  • Represent Caterpillar at customer and dealer sites to understand customer needs and machine applications and performance
  • Travel to dealer locations to consult on product performance within assigned territory (across Europe, including, but not limited to, Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, Poland, Romania and Balkans)
  • Exercise strong decision‑making skills, making judgements on complex products
  • Determine appropriate levels of support required for customer experience and peak product performance
  • Apply decisions to support and develop product sales, dealer effectiveness, overall segment growth and process improvements
  • Help dealers achieve higher service quality working with industry sales representatives to develop total customer solutions
  • Work with Service Specialists to ensure dealers meet targets for Customer Satisfaction
  • Liaison with Caterpillar Product Support Managers and Support Engineers for product enhancements and future developments
  • Educate/train dealers on Caterpillar product technical specifications
  • Stay abreast of industry and technology changes and learn to relate those changes to Caterpillar, dealer and customer needs

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of engineering or product support experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of professional experience
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Fluent in English and one other European language preferred (French, Spanish, Polish, would be an asset)
  • Good written and oral communications skills and the ability to articulate complex information in a simple and concise way
  • Excellent interpersonal and team working skills, with the ability to successfully build relationships with a diverse group of individuals
  • Self‑starter with a demonstrated ability to manage own assignments
  • Dynamic, team player with initiative
  • Strong prioritization capability
  • Ability to quickly adapt to complex changes, execute with ambiguity and drive advancement within the Caterpillar dealer organization
