As a Category Buyer for metal components, you will support the development and delivery of category strategies that maximise value across quality, cost, logistics, development, and supplier performance. Working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will play a key role in strengthening the supply network, managing risk, and driving sustainable commercial outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the delivery of category strategies, contributing insights and market knowledge to drive value and continuous improvement.
- Leading or supporting sourcing activities, including supplier selection, negotiations and contract implementation.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and align procurement activity.
- Managing supplier performance, addressing issues promptly and working collaboratively to drive improvements.
- Ensuring continuity of supply through proactive risk management and supplier engagement.
- Maintaining accurate procurement documentation and ensuring compliance with internal processes and policies.
