We are looking for an experienced Level 3 Early Years Educator – Room Leader to lead our wonderful Rabbits Room at Homeland Day Nursery. Homeland Day Nursery has an outstanding reputation within the local community and is set in a beautiful location in Altrincham. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced practitioner who enjoys working with older toddlers and is ready to take the next step in their career, leading a nurturing, inspiring and engaging room environment.
The Room Leader role is working with our 2 - 3 year olds, supporting children as they prepare for their transition into Pre-School. Our approach combines the Early Years Foundation Stage with the Montessori Method, encouraging children to develop naturally through exploration, independence and purposeful play. Children enjoy access to our beautiful outdoor environments throughout the day, whatever the weather, as well as regular Stretch-n-Grow sessions to promote healthy development.
As Room Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of care, learning and development, while leading and inspiring your team to create a warm, stimulating and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the Room
- Support and mentor practitioners within the room, creating a positive team culture
- Ensure high standards of care, safety and safeguarding at all times
- Plan and oversee engaging activities that support babies’ development through play and exploration
- Take responsibility for children’s learning and development, monitoring progress and planning meaningful next steps
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers, supporting effective communication and partnerships
- Ensure the room environment is welcoming, stimulating and developmentally appropriate
- Work closely with the management team to maintain high-quality practice across the setting
