Salary Grade: £50,000 to £62,000 (depending on experience)

Location: Wimborne

About Us: Caterpillar Marine Power UK Ltd is located on the outskirts of Wimborne on the Ferndown and Uddens Business Improvement District. With approximately 130 members of staff, there is a long and distinguished history spanning over 50 years of manufacturing marine propulsion and auxiliary engines under the Cat and Perkins Marine brands.

Job Summary: Advising on marketing and sales initiatives and dealer/customer related strategies, systems and processes.

What You Will Do:

  • Enable Services Revenue growth by supporting Cat Marine teams in deploying customer experience and service operations initiatives.
  • Develop deep expertise to advise Cat Marine and dealers on process improvement on areas such as customer management, service transformation, customer onboarding.
  • Ensure delivery of Strategic Growth Council objectives, through the growth planning process.
  • Measure dealer performance and support Cat Marine on developing improvement action plans and gap resolution initiatives to support Cat Marine growth objectives.
  • Actively support Cat Marine by resolving problems regarding business plan execution, operational improvement, and achievement of targets.

  • Industry & Product Knowledge: Knowledge of the organization's industry group, component product groups, trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques.
  • Negotiating: Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques.
  • Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques.
  • Business Development: Knowledge of business development tools, techniques, and approaches.
  • Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology, and services.

What Will Put You Ahead:

  • Ability to speak French is an advantage.
  • Previous marine experience, specifically in service operations.
  • The role will involve Cat dealer and customer site visits to understand on the ground operations.

This role requires 5 days in the office model. Ad-hoc flexibility is accommodated aligned with Business needs.
