The Opportunity: As a Manufacturing Engineer Technician, you will play a key role in supporting and continuously improving manufacturing processes across fabrication, welding, machining, automation and robotic operations. Working closely with Production, Quality and Engineering teams, you will help improve safety, quality, delivery and productivity through process development, problem solving and the implementation of engineering improvements.

What You Will Do: As a Manufacturing Engineer Technician, your accountabilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide day-to-day manufacturing engineering support to production value streams, helping to improve process capability and operational performance.
  • Support manufacturing process development activities, including Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), PFMEA, Control Plans, process validation, production readiness and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain, improve and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and technologies, including automation, Siemens PLC-controlled systems, robotics, welding and machining processes.
  • Lead investigations into production and quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Design, update and maintain tooling, fixtures, gauges, manufacturing documentation and process standards to support safe, efficient and repeatable operations.
  • Support the implementation of engineering and process changes through the Management of Change (MoC) process, ensuring appropriate risk controls are identified and applied.

  • Technical Communication: Communicates technical information clearly and produces accurate documentation that supports collaboration, consistency and operational performance.

  • APQP & Process Control: Applies tools and techniques such as PFMEA, Control Plans, process validation and production readiness to support robust manufacturing processes.
  • Digital Engineering Tools: Uses CAD software to create, modify and maintain tooling, fixtures, gauges and other manufacturing aids.
  • Process Safety & Risk Management: Identifies manufacturing risks and implements effective controls to support safe and reliable operations.
  • Lean & Continuous Improvement: Applies Lean principles, continuous improvement techniques and manufacturing data to identify opportunities, solve problems and improve performance.
