The Opportunity:
As a Team Leader in Logistics, you will lead and motivate a team responsible for supporting the smooth and efficient flow of materials across our operations. You ensure resources are used effectively, materials are delivered on time, and logistics targets are consistently achieved, all while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
What you will do:
- Lead and coordinate your team to achieve daily logistics goals, continuously monitoring performance across Safety, People, Quality, Velocity, and Cost.
- Champion safe working practices, ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements, and take part in relevant training and development activities.
- Drive Continuous Improvement (CI) by generating and implementing improvement ideas for your area, maintaining a complete and accurate skills matrix, and ensuring all standard work documents remain up to date.
- Participate in Rapid Improvement Workshops (RIWs) to drive enhancements in Safety, Quality, Velocity, and Cost within your logistics operation.

- People: Good at supporting and guiding your team so they can do their best. You understand who needs help, who needs training, and how to build a team that works well together.
- Logistics Operations: Able to keep materials moving smoothly and in the right place at the right time. Strong organising skills help you keep the area running without delays.

- Process Improvement: Quick to notice when something could be done better. Comfortable using simple improvement tools to make the job easier, safer, and more efficient.
- Compliance: Able to understand and enact changes to process to enable compliance control and customs queries.
Top Candidates will have:
- A current Forklift Truck licence: Needed so you can safely support the team with moving materials when required.
- BSC Level 2 Certificate in Risk Assessment: Shows you can identify risks and help keep the work area safe.
- Relevant NVQ Level 2 or higher: Demonstrates you have the core logistics knowledge and practical skills needed for the role.
