Due to an increase in production at the Caterpillar Desford facility, we are looking for Maintenance Operatives to join on both day and night shifts. A Maintenance Operative role is providing maintenance support to the 200 acre facility. We are looking for craftspersons who have experience working in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining equipment and using a computerised maintenance system.
- Responding to equipment breakdowns and completing repairs to equipment.
- Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions on industrial/assembly equipment, machinery and building as required.
- Perform preventative maintenance as per schedules.
- Order replacement parts and stocks.
- Adhere to the company’s Health & Safety policy and safe working practices.
- Adhere to Caterpillar’s Values in Action: Integrity, Commitment, Excellence, Teamwork.
- Undertake training/further learning as required.
Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in diagnosing and resolving issues across both electrical and mechanical systems within industrial environments.

Salary: starting salary of £37,900 rising to £42,000 once fully competent
