We are looking for an experienced Commis Waiter/Waitress for a luxury hotel in Ripon.

Salary package up to £19,760k.

About the Hotel:

This country house hotel dates back to the 17th century and has entertained Queen Mary. It became a convalescence home for injured soldiers in the Second World War, an adult training centre, and then a private residence until 2015 when it was privately purchased to undergo a multi-million pound transformation into Yorkshire’s latest luxury Relais & Chateaux hotel.

Working as a Commis Waiter/Waitress:

As a Commis Waiter/Waitress, you will be supporting the smooth running of service. The performance of a Commis Waiter/Waitress ensures a flawless, uninterrupted unity of service for each guest. You will be responsible for operating the passe with maximum efficiency and cleanliness, assisting with all cleaning and service within the restaurant, communicating effectively with the kitchen and senior staff, and preparing the restaurant mise-en-place.

The successful person will ideally have previous experience within fine dining, but this is not essential as long as you have a passion to deliver outstanding service to guests. You will need to be a team player with lots of charm and confidence, and bags of enthusiasm. In addition to your excellent customer service skills, you should be a punctual and reliable team player with strong communication skills, a self-driven approach, and a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
