Catermatch Solutions are recruiting experienced School Cooks and Kitchen Staff for schools and education catering sites across Manchester and Tameside. Typical shift hours are 8:00am to 2:00pm (may vary depending on site). We are looking for reliable and experienced cooks with school catering or contract catering experience to support busy primary school kitchens, preparing fresh, nutritious meals for students. Flexible shifts are available, including term-time roles, daytime hours, and ongoing temporary assignments - ideal for those seeking work-life balance in education catering.
What's on Offer:
- £16 per hour, plus holiday pay & pension
- Weekly pay – every Friday directly into your bank account
- Flexible shifts – 5/6 hour days

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Cook, School Cook, or Catering Manager in a primary school or contract catering environment
- Experience preparing meals in line with school food standards and allergen regulations
- Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) – essential or willingness to obtain one
- 2 recent references
- Own chef whites and safety shoes preferred
- Strong understanding of food hygiene, health & safety, and safeguarding in schools
