We are hiring for a Chef Manager at Bodsham School, Ashford Kent. This role focuses on ensuring future generations receive nutritionally balanced and tasty food. The position is term‑time only and does not involve weekend work, offering flexibility for those seeking that balance.
Role details
- Pay: £13.98 per hour
- Hours: 25 hours per week, Monday–Friday
- Duration: term‑time only, 39 weeks per year
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing, cooking and presenting food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client.
- Ensuring the location meets statutory and company requirements of Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental legislations and procedures.
- Enhancing the company’s reputation for excellent food and service, consistently exceeding expectations.
- Managing the day‑to‑day running of the location and supervising teams, including inventory, budgeting and action plans.
- Serving as the main point of contact for the client in your school, recommending and implementing regular adjustments and improvements.
- Communicating regularly with your line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets.
- Supporting, training and leading teams, ensuring all training is completed and performance managed.
