Job Description
We are recruiting for a Trainee Food Safety and Health and Safety Compliance Auditor to work within the South West region, working as part of our Food Safety and Health and Safety Team. You will be taking a key role in driving standards of excellence, building strong relationships and leading by example as well as having the opportunity to build on your skills and knowledge through career development training.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertaking Food Safety and Health and Safety compliance audits within Primary and Secondary sites to ensure Caterlink's policies and processes are being fully implemented and reporting your findings.
- Liaising with the Operations Team to ensure the findings are being actioned and signed off.
- Support of changes to food legislation or company policy implementation.
- Support for engaging and rolling out safety initiatives and information to meet the company's expectations.
- Support the development of a strong safety culture.
- To ensure all required training is completed.
- The role will require occasional overnight stays.
Qualifications
- Qualified to Level 2 in Food Safety and Health and Safety.
- To demonstrate an understanding of what it means to drive a safety culture.
- A professional approach to time, costs and working to deadlines.
- Possess excellent communication skills.
- Good organisation skills.
- Experience of working in the catering sector is desirable.
- Must have full driving licence and own car.
- An Enhanced DBS Disclosure and satisfactory references will be required for this role.
Additional Information
- £13.25 per hour.
- Term-time only role working Monday-Friday - flexible working will be considered.
- Monthly car allowance plus fuel costs reimbursed.
- 33 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays.
