Job Description
We have a very exciting opportunity for a Development Chef to join us to support our Primary & Secondary Schools, within our large London Borough areas. This is a pivotal role in ensuring that agreed food standards are maintained coupled with service delivery across all schools with the objective to exceed our customers expectations.
The main focus of the role will be food quality, working with our Area Managers, being involved in our training kitchens, training and coaching our site kitchen teams. This is a hands on customer focused role. You will be working closely with the teams and Area Managers day to day to achieve desired outcomes set in developing the food offer, ensuring we work within our purchasing, pricing remit and food cost controls. You will be an integral part of delivering our added value benefits to schools via tasting sessions, open evenings, assemblies, cooking classes and ad hoc school events support. This role will support the Operations Managers in delivering the requirements of the contracts in each Borough.
Ideally, we are looking for a proven experienced Chef with management & multi-site experience, knowledge of operating and delivering in the education sector is essential. The ideal Development Chef will be able to demonstrate their excellent cooking ability, is passionate about food, driven with the experience, passion, and skills they can bring to the business so that we can move the business forward and exceed our clients expectations. Excellent presentation skills are a must as well as good planning and time management.
