Overall purpose of the role: To help support the team with all aspects of school food - from creating special diet menus, delivering education sessions and undertaking projects around public health. The successful candidate should be a qualified nutritionist, with an interest in children's nutrition and school food. The role will be home-based however regular travel will be required to deliver training, lessons or attend meetings.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support with creating a wide range of special diet menus for children with allergies and intolerances
  • Support with checking menus are compliant to the School Food Standards
  • Undertake nutritional audits within Caterlink schools
Essential
  • BSc in Nutrition or Dietetics or equivalent
  • At least Associate Registered Nutritionist with the Association for Nutrition or equivalent
  • Experience in working with people with allergies and intolerances is desirable
  • Experience using nutritional analysis system such as Saffron
  • Numeric and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional, organised and self-motivated
  • Passion for keeping up to date with research and changes in legislation
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Ability to manage a busy inbox efficiently, and work to deadlines

This job will involve weekly travel around various schools within the area.
