We are hiring for a Chef at Dean Trust Rose Bridge, Wigan who wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. This role is working term‑time only and no weekends so is great for those looking for flexibility.

Key Details

  • £13.00 per hour
  • 32.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
  • Term‑time only – 38 weeks per year

Responsibilities

  • To prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client.
  • To ensure that all Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures are followed, and all mandatory paperwork is completed accurately and with integrity.
  • To ensure that the company's reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers, and expectations are consistently exceeded.
  • To support your line manager with the day‑to‑day running of the location, including managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans.

Qualifications

  • Desirable but not essential: Level 2 NVQ professional cookery or equivalent. Full training will be provided.
  • An enhanced DBS disclosure will be obtained for this role.
