We are hiring for a Chef Manager at Thriplow Primary School, to ensure future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. This role is term‑time only and no weekends, so is great for those looking for flexibility.
Job Details
- Compensation: £13.75 per hour
- Hours: 22.5‑30 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Term‑time only: 38 weeks per year
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
- Ensure that the location meets statutory and company requirements of Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental legislations and procedures
- Enhance the company's reputation for excellent food and service with the client and customers, consistently exceeding expectations
- Oversee day‑to‑day running of the location and supervise teams, including inventory management, budget monitoring, and implementation of action plans
- Act as the main point of contact with our client at your school, recommending and implementing regular adjustments and improvements
- Communicate regularly with your line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets, ensuring they are achieved
- Support and train team members, leading from the front to ensure everyone can excel in their role, completing all training and managing performance
