For over 20 years, the company has delivered fresh food solutions to pupils and staff at Primary Schools, Secondary Schools, and Colleges across the UK. The company caters for more than 1,000,000 meals a week. We are hiring a Chef Manager at St Bernards/Sacred Heart, Barrow, who is passionate about providing nutritionally balanced and tasty food for future generations. This role is term-time only with no weekends, offering great flexibility. The role includes:
- £13.35 per hour
- 26 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Term-time only, working 43.6 weeks per year
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing, cooking, and presenting food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
- Ensuring compliance with statutory and company requirements on Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental legislation
- Enhancing the company's reputation for excellent food and service, exceeding client and customer expectations
- Acting as the main point of contact for the client at your school, recommending and implementing improvements
- Communicating regularly with your line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets
- Supporting and training team members, leading by example to ensure role excellence, training completion, and performance management
