We are hiring for a Catering Manager at Mountfield's Lodge, Loughborough, who wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. This role is term‑time only and no weekends, making it ideal for those looking for flexibility.

Compensation and Schedule

  • £13.88 per hour
  • 30 hours per week, Monday – Friday
  • Term‑time only – 190 days per year

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client.
  • Ensure that the location meets statutory and company requirements of Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental legislation and procedures.
  • Enhance the company's reputation for excellent food and service, consistently exceeding client and customer expectations.
  • Run day‑to‑day operations of the location, supervise teams, manage inventories, monitor budgets and implement action plans.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the school client, recommending and implementing regular adjustments and improvements.
  • Communicate regularly with line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets to ensure these are achieved.
  • Support and train teams, lead from the front to ensure all training is completed and performance is managed.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a cook.
  • Valid DBS disclosure will be obtained for this role.
