As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work with pupils who may have a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH needs, learning difficulties, communication difficulties, and complex needs.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will work closely with Teachers, Teaching Assistants, and other experienced support staff to ensure every pupil receives the appropriate level of support.
This SEN Teaching Assistant role will involve:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN
- Supporting pupils with their learning and classroom activities
- Helping pupils develop communication, social, and independence skills
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
- Creating a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
This SEN Teaching Assistant position would suit someone with previous experience working with children, young people, or individuals with additional needs.
