Shuttering Carpenter
Location: Winchester, Hampshire
7.30AM - 4.30pm
Salary: £260 PER DAY CIS PAY
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications to determine formwork requirements.
- Construct, assemble, and install formwork using hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques to shape concrete structures accurately.
- Measure and cut materials such as timber, steel, and other specialized components to fit project needs.
- Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and bracing of formwork to maintain safety standards and structural accuracy.
- Dismantle formwork after concrete has set while ensuring minimal damage for reuse or disposal.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials regularly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Shuttering Carpenter within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, hand tools, power tools, and safety procedures.
- CSCS CARD or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of structural systems such as roofing, masonry, and reinforcement placement.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions.
