Fox Morris Group are working to recruit a Passenger Assistant
As a term time Home to School Passenger Assistant, you will support children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) as they travel to schools and colleges inside and outside the borough.
The role is split-shift, with a taxi collecting you from home or a set pick-up point for morning and afternoon journeys.
As part of this statutory service, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort and wellbeing of all passengers during transit.
Skills and Experience
- The transport arranged for children will pick you up from home or a pre-arranged pick-up point within the boundary of Wigan Borough.
- If you are on a route that is close by we would expect you to get to an agreed pick-up point. If there is a need for them to drive, we would pay mileage.
- If the person did not drive and we have arranged a route far away, we can sort transport.
- Hours are school pick up and school drop off 7:30-10 14:30-16:00 or around these hours.
