TIG Welder
Location: Gainsborough
Pay: £14.50 – £17.19 per hour
Hours: 39 paid hours per week
Shift Pattern:
Monday to Wednesday: 2:30pm – 1:00am
Thursday: 2:30pm – 12:00am
About the Role
Search Recruitment are currently recruiting for experienced TIG Welders on behalf of a leading manufacturing company based in Gainsborough.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturer offering long-term, ongoing work on a permanent afternoon shift across a four-day working week.
As a TIG Welder, you’ll be responsible for welding stainless steel and mild steel exhaust system components to a high standard, ensuring all work meets customer specifications while maintaining quality and health & safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
TIG welding stainless steel and mild steel components
Reading and working from engineering drawings
Producing high-quality welds to specification
Using jigs, fixtures and measuring equipment
Carrying out quality checks and completing production documentation
Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards
Working safely in line with Health & Safety procedures
Working independently and as part of a team to meet production targets
Requirements
Previous TIG welding experience within a manufacturing environment
Experience welding stainless steel
Ability to read engineering drawings
Good attention to detail
Reliable with a positive attitude
Able to work to quality standards and production targets
Desirable
Welding NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3 (or equivalent)
Experience using Vernier callipers and measuring equipment
Knowledge of 5S or continuous improvement practices
