The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Service Engineer to join an established engineering business providing servicing, maintenance and repair solutions across domestic, commercial and industrial sites.
This is a field-based role, responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, servicing, commissioning and fault finding on sewage treatment plants, sewage pumps and wastewater systems.
The role requires a strong mechanical and electrical engineering background, along with the ability to work independently, communicate effectively with customers and undertake physical work, including heavy lifting.
Key Responsibilities
- Service and maintain sewage treatment plants and pumps
- Attend breakdowns and call-outs
- Carry out mechanical & electrical fault finding
- Complete planned preventative maintenance
- Diagnose and resolve system faults
- Liaise with scheduling teams and line managers
- Keep customers updated throughout jobs
- Identify parts required and provide feedback for quotations
- Maintain van stock, tools & equipment
- Complete comprehensive service reports
- Use a mobile app to manage daily schedules
- Liaise directly with customers on site
- Undertake on-the-job training as required
- Work safely across a range of challenging environments
