Functional Skills Maths Tutor – St Helens
Are you an experienced Maths teacher or tutor? Prospero Teaching are looking for Functional Skills Maths Tutors in St Helens!
The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting Functional Skills Maths Tutors to provide targeted 1:1 tuition to learners across St Helens.
The role involves supporting students to develop their numeracy skills and work towards Functional Skills qualifications.
You will be able to tailor your sessions around each learner, focusing on areas where they require additional support and helping them develop greater confidence with Maths.
Position Details:

- Hours: 5-15 hours per week

Experience, Training and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience delivering Functional Skills Maths
- Strong knowledge of numeracy and Maths
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience
- Experience supporting learners with gaps in education is desirable
- QTS, PGCE or equivalent qualification desirable
- A flexible and encouraging teaching style
To be eligible for this role, you must:
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional references
