About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and client-focused Site Manager to join our team on a permanent basis at Stansted Airport.

This is a strategically important position that will play a key role in supporting the continued growth of our long-standing relationship with the airport. We are looking for someone who can successfully deliver projects on site while becoming a trusted day-to-day point of contact for the client.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of construction and building services projects and be comfortable operating independently. Whether your background is electrical, mechanical, or general construction, we are interested in hearing from individuals who can combine technical knowledge with excellent client-facing skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of construction and M&E projects across Stansted Airport.
  • Act as the primary on-site representative for the company.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with airport stakeholders and clients.
  • Coordinate site activities, subcontractors, suppliers, and project resources.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Identify opportunities for additional works and help develop new business opportunities within the airport environment.
  • Prepare estimates, quotations, and pricing for small works and minor projects.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, and reporting activities.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Maintain excellent standards of communication, professionalism, and customer service.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience managing construction, mechanical, electrical, or building services projects.
  • Is personable, professional, and confident when working directly with clients.
  • Has a strong overall understanding of both construction and M&E environments.
  • Can identify commercial opportunities and contribute to business growth.
  • Is capable of estimating and pricing smaller works packages.
  • Works well independently and takes ownership of projects.
  • Possesses strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Is based within a reasonable commuting distance of Stansted Airport.
  • Holds a valid UK driving licence.

Desirable Qualifications

  • SMSTS or SSSTS
  • CSCS Card
  • First Aid at Work
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
  • Experience working within operational or live environments such as airports, logistics facilities, manufacturing sites, or critical infrastructure
