We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading financial services clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Project Manager to join their team for a six-month contract.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives
- Manage end-to-end delivery of cross-control initiatives from intake through closure
- Define scope delivery plans, dependencies, governance structures and execution roadmaps
- Coordinate deliverables across controls, risk, audit, operations and technology teams
- Maintain RAID logs, action trackers, risk registers and governance reporting
- Drive governance forums, reporting cadence and stakeholder communications
- Escalate risks, issues and blockers with clear recommendations and mitigation options
- Support BAU operations through resource planning, capacity management and workload coordination
- Support budget tracking, forecasting and financial reporting activities
- Prepare leadership updates, governance packs, metrics and management reports
- Act as an extension of leadership teams and provide decision-ready recommendations
- Drive continuous improvement in governance reporting and operational processes
- Build team capability through coaching, delegation, cross-training and succession planning
- Ensure delivery transparency, accountability and effective stakeholder alignment
Required Skills/Experience
- Proven Programme Management or Project Management experience
- Experience working in regulated controls, operations, governance or risk-focused environments
- Strong governance management experience including RAID action tracking and reporting
- Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Excellent communication and executive reporting capabilities
- Experience managing senior stakeholders and leadership teams
- Strong planning, scheduling and delivery management experience
- Experience with resource planning, capacity management and budget tracking
- Ability to identify, assess and proactively manage risks and issues
- Experience producing leadership presentations, governance packs and performance reporting
- Experience improving operating models, governance frameworks and ways of working
- Ability to coach and mentor team members while driving delivery outcomes
