This is an opportunity to join a highly capable systems engineering function, working end-to-end on the design, integration, validation and commissioning of complete vehicle systems. The Role
As a Systems Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the full systems lifecycle across vehicle platforms, collaborating closely with software, electrical, mechanical and supplier teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Systems engineering development across complex vehicle platforms
- Requirements capture, management and documentation (V-model)
- Creating system architectures, topologies and electrical interconnection schematics
- Leading multi-system integration (electrical, mechanical & communications)
- Supporting DVP&R, validation, verification and on-vehicle testing
- System start-up, commissioning and fault finding
- Producing technical documentation for production and aftermarket teams
What We're Looking For
- Degree-qualified in a relevant engineering discipline
- Strong systems engineering experience within automotive, off-highway, heavy or complex electromechanical products
- Solid understanding of system integration, requirements management and validation
- Experience with electrical principles, schematics and vehicle/system testing
- Confident communicator who can work cross-functionally and with suppliers
- Desirable experience includes CANbus, ISO 26262, functional safety, off-highway vehicles or control systems.
