Customer Service Southside of Edinburgh based | office-based role initially during training | moving to hybrid working (3 days in / 2 days at home) Full Time role | Monday to Friday | 35 hours per week Temp role for a minimum of 3 months | potential to be extended & be made permanent Pay rate up to £15.00 per hour + holiday pay.

Search Consultancy are delighted to be working exclusively with one of our Edinburgh based clients in the housing sector to recruit an experienced Customer Service Advisor to work in their Repairs team. This role would ideally suit an experienced Customer Service candidate with prior experience dealing with Repairs, Housing or Property – although first class candidates from other Customer Service backgrounds will be considered.

Duties involved in this role will include:

  • Responding to incoming enquiries and correspondence via phone, email or directly through the company’s repairs system
  • Diagnosing requirements & generating work orders to ensure the correct contractors are allocated to carry out necessary repairs
  • Corresponding with contractors & external parties in the course of your work
  • Ensuring response timescales are met at all times
  • Ensuring that the correct documentation is held on each file as per company guidelines
  • Processing customer satisfaction information and providing regular reports on satisfaction levels
  • Contributing to the compilation of performance monitoring reports using Key Performance Indicators
  • Carrying out related Administration duties in line with your role including invoicing for work carried out, ensuring file notes are accurately added to the system & ensuring work orders are authorised

In order to be considered for this role your skills and experience should include:

  • Extensive previous experience in a Customer Service role dealing with a wide range of customers – this experience is ESSENTIAL
  • Candidates who have experience in Repairs Co-ordination within Housing or Property would be at an advantage in this process, although this is by no means essential
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal as you will be dealing with customers, the public and external contacts daily in this role
  • Excellent organisation & time management skills, with the ability to prioritise & complete a sometimes very busy workload effectively
  • Solid IT Skills including the full MS Office suite and the ability to pick up new systems quickly
