Apex Resources urgently require a number of warehouse voice activated voice order pickers for their FMCG goods distribution client in Renfrew. Experience of working in a fast paced, target driven warehouse order picking environment is essential for this role. Previous experience of operating a voice activated order picking system is an advantage but not essential as on job training will be provided. Experience of using LLOP would be beneficial.
The duties will be:
- Receive and check incoming pick tickets
- Locate products using Voice activated picking system
- Retrieve orders according to quantity, size etc. ensuring accuracy
- Build pallets with orders and position them to loading docks
- Wrap orders before loading on trucks
- Re-stock inventory manually or with warehouse equipment
- Keep records of completed orders
- Maintain equipment and report on malfunctions
What we are expecting from the correct candidate:
- Experience as order picker or other warehouse position
- Able to read and write in English
- Great attention to detail
- Diligent and punctual
- Good physical strength and stamina
- Ability to lift
Hours of work are: Tuesday to Thursday 2pm-10pm, Friday 12pm-8pm, Saturday 7am – 1pm. Please note that 1st week training will be on dayshift prior to being moved to backshift.
Pay rate £12.71 per hour paid weekly with an additional bonus structure if targets are met. This is a temporary ongoing position with the intention of full time transfer after successful training period.
Please note that all applicants must be able to provide full right to work documentation, evidence of a national insurance number from an official letter from HMRC and have an active bank account in their own name for processing wages. This is in line with our ISO accreditation and GLA compliance standards.
