The Opportunity

Adecco is recruiting for a Operations/Compliance Supervisor on behalf of a leading organisation within the environmental hygiene and compliance sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate teams carrying out compliance-related cleaning and inspection services.
  • Manage onsite workloads, priorities, and daily operational requirements.
  • Ensure sufficient manpower, equipment, and resources are available to complete assigned works.
  • Liaise directly with customers and site representatives to agree work schedules and priorities.
  • Monitor work quality to ensure all activities meet required standards and specifications.
  • Provide guidance, support, and direction to operatives on site.
  • Assist with the training and development of new team members and temporary workers.
  • Respond to operational issues and provide effective solutions to maintain service delivery.
  • Complete relevant documentation and reports accurately and on time.
  • Promote a professional and customer-focused approach at all times.
  • Operational Duties

The successful candidate will oversee work across areas including

  • Ventilation system cleaning
  • Fire damper testing and inspections
  • Kitchen extract and fire safety cleaning
  • Environmental hygiene and compliance services
  • Health & Safety
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with current Health & Safety legislation, company procedures, and site-specific requirements.
  • Complete and follow risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Promote a strong safety culture within the team.
  • Ensure appropriate PPE is worn and maintained.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across all work areas.
  • Report hazards, incidents, equipment defects, and safety concerns promptly.
  • Equipment & Resource Management
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained in a safe and serviceable condition.
  • Conduct regular equipment checks and report defects where identified.
  • Monitor the use and care of specialist equipment.
  • Support effective stock and resource management to ensure operational readiness.
  • Performance Expectations
  • Deliver exceptional service standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain strong attendance and reliability.
  • Ensure jobs are completed efficiently and within allocated costs.
  • Minimise service disruptions and operational delays.
  • Support safe working practices with a focus on incident prevention.

About You

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate

  • Previous supervisory experience within facilities management, environmental services, compliance, hygiene, cleaning, maintenance, or a similar operational environment.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • The ability to plan workloads and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • A proactive and hands‑on approach to work.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
