This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their career within a well-established business, working on a range of social housing, refurbishment and regeneration projects across Nottingham and the surrounding area.
The Role
- Managing the commercial aspects of refurbishment and social housing projects.
- Supporting the Senior Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager.
- Managing subcontractor procurement, valuations and payments.
- Preparing cost reports, forecasts and financial statements.
- Monitoring project costs and identifying potential risks and opportunities.
- Managing variations, change control and contractual matters.
- Assisting with monthly applications, valuations and final accounts.
- Working closely with site teams, clients, subcontractors and consultants.
- Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and in accordance with commercial objectives.
About You
- Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
- Experience across social housing, refurbishment, maintenance, residential or similar sectors.
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
- Experience managing subcontractors and project costs.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- A relevant Quantity Surveying / Construction qualification is desirable.
- The ambition to progress within a growing commercial team.
