The Role
As a Fire Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for carrying out comprehensive fire risk assessments across a range of commercial and residential premises, identifying hazards and providing practical recommendations to ensure compliance with current legislation and best practice.
Your responsibilities will include
- Carrying out detailed fire risk assessments across a varied property portfolio.
- Identifying fire hazards and assessing associated risks.
- Producing clear, accurate and professional assessment reports.
- Providing practical recommendations and remedial advice to clients.
- Supporting clients with fire safety compliance and improvement plans.
- Liaising with clients, contractors and other stakeholders.
- Keeping up to date with relevant fire safety legislation, guidance and industry standards.
- Managing your own workload and diary across the East and West Midlands.
- Ensuring all assessments are completed to a consistently high professional standard.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Fire Risk Assessor with a strong understanding of fire safety legislation and risk assessment methodology.
Ideally, you will have
- Proven experience carrying out fire risk assessments.
- Relevant fire safety qualifications and/or professional accreditation.
- A good working knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and associated guidance.
- Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- A professional and client-focused approach.
- A full UK driving licence, with flexibility to travel throughout the East and West Midlands.
