As a Mental Health Teaching Assistant, you will work with pupils who may have a range of additional needs, including SEMH, anxiety, ADHD, ASD, learning difficulties, and challenging behaviour.
The successful Mental Health Teaching Assistant will work closely with Teachers, pastoral staff, and other experienced professionals to provide consistent and personalised support throughout the school day.
This Mental Health Teaching Assistant role will involve:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
- Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour
- Helping pupils develop healthy coping strategies and resilience
- Building positive and trusting relationships with young people
This Mental Health Teaching Assistant role would be ideal for someone with previous experience working with children, young people, mental health, SEN, or behavioural needs.
