A well-established accountancy practice is looking to appoint an experienced Audit Manager to join its Newbury office.
This is a key appointment within the audit team and would suit an experienced Audit Manager looking for a new challenge, increased responsibility and a clear opportunity to progress within an established practice.
The successful candidate will manage a varied portfolio of audit clients, lead assignments from planning through to completion and provide guidance to the wider audit team.
The Role:
- Managing a portfolio of audit clients
- Planning, managing and completing audit assignments
- Reviewing audit files and financial statements
- Ensuring assignments are delivered to a high standard and within budget
- Supervising and mentoring Audit Seniors and Assistant Managers
- Providing technical guidance and resolving audit issues
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
- Liaising with Partners and Directors on client matters
- Managing workflow, deadlines and team resources
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and client service
- Supporting the development and progression of junior members of the team
- Contributing to the continued growth of the audit department
About You:
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Proven experience within an accountancy practice
- Strong audit experience at Manager or highly experienced Assistant Manager level
- Confident managing audits from planning through to completion
- Experience supervising and developing junior team members
- Strong technical accounting and auditing knowledge
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills
- Commercially minded with a proactive approach
- Able to work independently while contributing effectively to the wider team
- Keen to progress and take on further responsibility
Salary: £50000 – £75000/annum
