Maintenance Technician
Our client based in the Swadlincote area are seeking a Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Technician for their manufacturing plant. This role is ideal for a dedicated individual looking to thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Technician will be to provide essential onsite engineering support, ensuring that the manufacturing plant operates effectively and safely while meeting all legal obligations.
The working hours are from 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Thursday, and 6:00am to 12:00pm on Fridays.
Duties – Maintenance Technician
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues.
- Conducting routine maintenance.
- Managing parts orders as necessary.
- You will work closely with the engineering team to develop and implement a planned preventative maintenance programme for various systems, including blending plants and boilers.
- Additionally, you will participate in plant modifications and provide out-of-hours emergency support on a rotational basis.
Experience required – Maintenance Technician
- To be successful in this role, you should hold at least an NVQ Level 2 in engineering or an equivalent qualification, along with prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with manufacturing machinery and conveyor systems, along with a minimum of 12 months in a similar role, will be required.

- Salary is negotiable depending on experience between £36,809-£41,681 per annum, with the potential for overtime and call-out payments.
