We are recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer / Fitter based in Leicester based on a full time and permanent basis.
Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 per annum
Working hours: 8:00 -16:30 Monday to Friday.
Annual leave: 25 days plus statutory

About the role:
We are looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer / Fitter who will be working in a small team, within a varied role, refurbishing used machinery.
Duties
- In house repair and refurbishment of machines.
- Fitting motors and safety switches.
- Rebuilding of mechanical sub-assemblies.
- Assisting in machine demonstration area.
- Cleaning and polishing machines.
- Prepare new machines for delivery to customers.
- Occasional UK and European travel.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
- Experienced in mechanical engineering
- Must be able to measure in both imperial and metric using rules, vernier calliper and micrometres
- Must be able to mark out, drill and tap, and be competent in the use of power tools and lathes.
- Be able to perform simple Milling and Turning tasks.
- Have basic knowledge of electrics and motors 3 Phase
- Driving Licence
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate a strong level of competency and be able to work on their own or as a part of a team.
