An established and growing precision engineering company based on the outskirts of Derby is looking to recruit an experienced Quality Inspector to join their Quality team.
The company has invested heavily in a state-of-the‑art manufacturing facility with a wide range of modern CNC machinery and inspection equipment.
This is a varied Quality Inspector position covering first-off inspection, manual inspection, CMM operating and programming, calibration and goods inward inspection.
Quality Inspector Responsibilities:
- First-off and patrol inspection of CNC machined components
- Manual inspection using micrometers, verniers, gauges and callipers
- Operating and programming CMM machines
- Inspecting components against engineering drawings and specifications
- Goods inward inspection
- Calibration of measuring and inspection equipment
- Identifying and resolving quality issues
- Raising and documenting non‑conformances
- Supporting continuous improvement activities
Quality Inspector Requirements:
- Previous Quality Inspection experience within a precision engineering, CNC machining or manufacturing environment
- Experience inspecting CNC machined components
- Confident using handheld measuring equipment
- CMM operating experience
- CMM programming experience would be advantageous; however, programming training can be provided
Shift Pattern
Mornings:
Monday to Thursday 6:00am to 2:00pm
Friday Early finish
Lates:
Monday to Thursday 2:00pm to 12:00am
Friday Off
