We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to work on a large commercial construction project in Knottingley.
The successful candidate will have a strong background managing large-scale commercial construction projects and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
Site Manager duties will include:
- Managing and coordinating day-to-day site activities
- Managing subcontractors and trades on site
- Ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme
- Monitoring progress against the construction programme
- Carrying out site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety across the project
- Coordinating with the Project Manager, subcontractors and wider project team
- Managing site logistics and ensuring good housekeeping standards
- Monitoring quality and resolving issues as they arise
- Maintaining accurate site records and documentation
Site Manager requirements:
- Strong understanding of construction processes and site management
- Valid SMSTS Certificate essential
- Valid First Aid Certificate essential
- Valid CSCS Managers Card essential
- Excellent knowledge of construction health and safety
- Strong communication and subcontractor management skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain programme deadlines
- Must be prepared to work some weekends when required
