Senior Project & Programme Manager – Car Park & Highway Design Team
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project & Programme Manager to lead the delivery of a portfolio of retail-focused infrastructure projects, specialising in car park and highway design schemes.
This is a highly client-facing role requiring strong commercial awareness, financial management expertise, and proven experience managing complex projects from inception through to completion.
The successful candidate will take ownership of multiple programmes, overseeing budgets, contracts, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
This role would suit an experienced Project or Programme Manager who thrives in a commercially focused environment, enjoys building strong client relationships, and has a track record of delivering successful infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple car park and highway projects, from feasibility and design through to construction, handover, and post-project review.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships through effective communication and consistent project delivery.
- Develop and manage project and programme budgets, including forecasting, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
- Monitor financial performance, identify risks and variances, and implement cost control measures.
- Manage contracts, procurement processes, consultant appointments, and supplier performance.
- Ensure projects deliver value for money while maintaining quality, programme, and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate internal teams, external consultants, and contractors to achieve project objectives.
- Manage project risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies.
- Prepare clear progress reports, financial updates, and performance information for clients and senior stakeholders.

- Current knowledge of health and safety legislation.
