The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer to join a major civils and groundworks contractor delivering two large distribution centre buildings in Hinkley, Leicestershire.
The overall project value is approximately £18 million and will involve extensive groundworks, foundations, drainage, reinforced concrete and external infrastructure. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an experienced project team and work on a large-scale commercial development.
The Role
You will provide day-to-day engineering and setting out support across the project, working closely with the Site Manager, Project Manager and groundworks teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out foundations, drainage, concrete works and external works.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Checking levels, coordinates and dimensions.
- Providing engineering support to site teams and subcontractors.
- Maintaining accurate QA and as-built records.
- Assisting with inspections and quality control.
- Identifying and resolving engineering issues on site.
- Supporting the delivery of works to programme and specification.
Requirements
- Previous Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer experience.
- Strong groundworks and civils background.
- Experience with foundations, drainage and concrete works.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and QA procedures.CSCS Essential.
- Own kit advantageous but not essential.
