The Role
We are looking for experienced and professional HGV Class 2 Drivers to join the team at its Milton Keynes operation.
This is a Monday to Friday position, offering a competitive £40,000 annual salary, with optional overtime available for drivers looking to increase their earnings.
Drivers typically work around 4550 hours per week, providing a consistent working pattern and regular UK-based work.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out deliveries and collections safely and efficiently, representing the company professionally when dealing with customers and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle in accordance with all relevant legislation and company procedures.
- Complete deliveries and collections across the UK safely, efficiently and on time.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects or issues promptly.
- Ensure all loads are transported securely and safely.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic records.
- Comply fully with drivers hours, tachograph and Working Time Regulations.
- Provide a professional and customer-focused service at all times.
- Communicate effectively with the transport team regarding deliveries, collections and any issues encountered on the road.
- Maintain a high standard of vehicle cleanliness and presentation.
- Follow all company health & safety procedures and operational processes.
- Represent the business positively when dealing with customers and members of the public.
About You
The ideal candidate will be an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of delivering a reliable and professional service.
Essential requirements:
- Minimum 2 years HGV Class 2 driving experience in the UK.
- Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Good understanding of UK drivers hours and road transport legislation.
- Good driving record and strong commitment to road safety.
- Reliable, punctual and professional approach.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with the transport team.
