We are working with a well-established and successful fit-out and refurbishment contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
The company delivers high-quality commercial, industrial, office, education and specialist refurbishment and fit-out projects across London and the South East.
This is a great opportunity for someone who can combine strong commercial management with hands‑on project delivery.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through to completion with project values between £1m – £5 million, including:
- Overall management and delivery of allocated projects
- Commercial management, budgets and cost reporting
- Subcontractor procurement and management
- Valuations, variations and final accounts
- Managing programmes and project performance
- Client and consultant liaison
- Managing subcontractors and supply chain
- Identifying and managing commercial risks
- Attending project and commercial meetings
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to budget
About You
We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Manager or Project Surveyor with a main contractor background.
Ideally, you will have experience within fit‑out, refurbishment or commercial construction, together with:
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
- Experience managing subcontractors and projects
- Good understanding of construction programmes
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- A commercially driven and proactive approach
