Site Engineer – Lower Thames Crossing (Immediate Start)

Carmichael UK is working in partnership with a leading earthworks specialist delivering works on the Lower Thames Crossing project and is looking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer for an immediate start.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a major infrastructure project and play a key role in surveying, setting out and earthworks operations on a nationally significant scheme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out GPS and site surveys.
  • Set out boundaries and site controls using appropriate survey equipment.
  • Process, edit and manage survey data.
  • Produce and maintain ground models.
  • Complete volume calculations and earthworks reporting.
  • Ensure works are delivered accurately and in line with project specifications.
  • Maintain quality records and as-built information.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering, earthworks or major infrastructure projects.
  • Strong setting out and surveying background.
  • Proficient with GPS equipment and survey control.
  • Experience editing survey data and creating terrain models.
  • Ability to undertake accurate volume calculations.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Leica, Trimble or similar software.
  • Valid CSCS card and relevant engineering qualification.
  • FULL Manual Driving License

Desirable Experience

  • Major highways, earthworks or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience working alongside Tier 1 contractors or joint venture project teams.
  • Experience on large-scale transport and civil engineering schemes
