We are recruiting for a bright, enthusiastic Customer Service Desk Advisor to join a friendly and supportive team in Welwyn Garden City. About the Role
Working on the Service Desk, you will provide telephone and email support to customers, helping to keep business operations running smoothly. You will diagnose faults, coordinate with suppliers, manage orders and ensure customers receive clear, helpful updates throughout the process. This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You will be encouraged to develop your skills, use your initiative and become a valued part of the team. Please note this role involves customer support during office hours, plus occasional out-of-hours support on a rota basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Support customers by phone and email
- Identify faults and manage them through to resolution
- Work with suppliers on new orders and faults
- Set up and manage orders, keeping customers informed
- Record accurate customer information
- Share clear progress updates
- Attend occasional site visits for installations and fault checks
- Raise occasional invoices and work with finance when needed
About You
- A professional telephone manner and excellent customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and a determined approach to resolving issues
- Confidence gathering information, following up tasks and chasing third parties when needed
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Telephony or IT experience would be beneficial, but full training will be provided
