A renowned manufacturer of special-purpose equipment, with a long-standing reputation and national presence, is embarking on an exciting new programme of development. To support this growth, they are seeking an Estimator
Role & Responsibilities:
- Estimating
- Site Surveys
- Offering Value-engineering to customers
- Take off drawings (measuring fence lines and gate sizes)
- Negotiating with customers
- Liaising with purchasing department to ensure prices are up to date
- Liaising with suppliers for prices
- Taking incoming enquiry calls
- Take ownership of the handover process
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience of Estimating
- The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with large contractors
- Experience of construction processes. i.e. instructions, variations, mobilisation costs and retentions
- Ability to take off drawings
- Experience of working within a team to ensure a full handover from Sales to Contracts
- Ability to carry out costing reviews upon completion of a job
Salary: £30000 – £40000/annum company car, pension and more
