Are you an experienced 5 Axis CNC Machinist with strong setting, operating and programming skills looking for a weekend-based role? Workshop Recruitment is recruiting for a well-established engineering manufacturer producing high-performance composite components for advanced industries. This Weekend 5 Axis CNC Machinist role offers a flexible 36 or 40-hour working week across Friday to Sunday, with a strong hourly rate, shift allowance and overtime opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate 5-axis CNC machines.
- Machine epoxy/PU patterns, fixtures and carbon components.
- Program and edit CNC code for complex components.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Inspect finished components to ensure quality standards.
- Follow SOPs and machining procedures.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and perform routine maintenance.
- Maintain accurate production and tooling records.
Skills & Knowledge Required
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with 5-axis machining.
- Confident setting, operating and programming CNC machinery.
- Strong understanding of machining processes and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork.
- Commitment to safe working practices.
- Flexibility to work overtime when required.
Hours & Benefits
- Friday to Sunday 36 or 40 hours per week, with flexibility.
- £19£23 per hour depending on experience with a £5 per hour shift allowance.
- Overtime paid at time and a half.
- 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, increasing to 25 days plus Bank Holidays.
