Protocol Education is currently recruiting for an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a warm and welcoming school in Basildon. This is a full-time role offering the opportunity to make a real difference to a child’s educational journey, with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.
The Role
- Full-time Learning Support Assistant position
- Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD
- Supporting learning, engagement, and emotional wellbeing
- Working closely with teaching staff and SEN professionals
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
- Previous experience working as an LSA, Teaching Assistant, or supporting children with SEN
- Experience supporting children with ASD is essential
- Must have the right to work in the UK
- Ability to provide references from your last two employers
- A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
