Ashberry recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Housing support candidate to work at a service in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. The service is run by a well-established housing organisation that provides support for young homeless people across the UK.
Day-to-day, you would be:
- Monitoring the safety/security of the building/young people
- Keeping accurate logs of any contact with the service users and the times they leave & enter the service
- Interacting with the young people and ensuring they feel safe and giving them any support or advice they may need
- Completing any tasks given by senior members of staff or tasks that have been given on a schedule
Service Information:
- Lone working (must have experience in this)
- 16-18 Year Olds
- Self-contained flats
- Staff MUST stay on site
What is needed:
- Enhanced Child & Adult DBS
- Experience working with young people
- Experience working in a housing support setting or a supported accommodation setting for homeless individuals
- Passion for helping people improve their lives and a drive to help people work towards living independently
- Experience lone working in a supported accommodation setting
Desirables:
- Full UK Driving license with car
- Knowledge of the benefits system
- NVQ level 3 in health & social care
Salary: £12.21 – £15/hour
