An exciting opportunity to pick up a 6-month contract (or more) as a professional Chef within a local MOD site near Salisbury.
This Chef position offers a structured, professional kitchen environment with a great work-life balance.
Working straight shifts with various shift patterns available 7 days per week so choose what suits you best!
We can offer full time or part time hours to suit in and around the Salisbury area.
- Chef responsibilities
- Section Ownership: Manage, prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes for your designated kitchen section.
- Menu Specification: Ensure all meals align precisely with Compass Group standards, portion control, and recipe guidelines.
- Compliance & Safety: Maintain immaculate standards of food hygiene, allergen control, and Health & Safety regulations.
- Team Support: Collaborate closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef while providing respectful coaching to junior team members.
- Stock Management: Handle correct storage, stock rotation, and minimization of food waste
Chef requirements
- Experience: Proven track record working as a Chef de Partie or an experienced Chef in a professional kitchen.
- Qualifications: Professional culinary certifications (such as NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds equivalent) are highly desirable.
- Security & Vetting: Because this role is situated on a live military facility, the successful candidate must pass baseline security vetting and may be subject to Enhanced DBS check.
- Location must be able to commute outside of Salisbury
