We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee the fit out and refurbishment of a Pure Gym in Sunderland.
This is a live environment, so the successful candidate will need to be confident managing site operations while maintaining a professional approach around gym users, staff and members of the public.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are therefore essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day delivery of the fit out and refurbishment works.
- Coordinating subcontractors, site teams and deliveries.
- Ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and to a high standard.
- Maintaining excellent communication with the client, subcontractors and gym staff.
- Managing works within a live environment while minimising disruption to gym users.
- Ensuring all Health & Safety and site procedures are followed.
- Carrying out regular site inspections and quality checks.
- Attending progress meetings and providing regular updates to the project team.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within fit out, refurbishment or similar projects.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and site management procedures.
- Experience working within live environments would be highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication and people-management skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors effectively.
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the project.
